Memorial Biography

David was loved by so many and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. When asked to describe him, David’s family would say he was gentle, witty, and inquisitive. He was the kindest, goofiest kid- the “best dude around. We should all aspire to be like Dave”. He was a really educated guy with a lot to say and a funny way to say it. David enjoyed percussion (the bass and snare drums), and anything that involved music and learning. He liked to discuss politics and current events and always had opinions that were heavily researched. He also loved to read, not normal reading either. He would read about like, the economic evolution of the state of Virginia and enjoy it. Band was his life. He went to four-hour rehearsals and loved every minute of it. One of his top priorities for college was a school with a good marching band. Dave had two kinds of humor. Absolutely awful, and sarcastic. He laughed at deep-fried pictures of Among Us characters, and then would turn around and say something deadpan about like, the Republican primaries, and would manage to make you laugh at either. He also loved to laugh at really terrible memes.   David will be remembered for being kind to others, for helping people who don’t fit in to find a place. For being wicked smart, for lending a hand and being a hard worker. In band, he was always helping the younger kids learn the music. David always seemed to know things. He was always helpful to his parents and was a wonderful brother. I can't tell you how many technology crises he solved, or how many people he made laugh, or how many perspectives he showed people. He described his 'vibe' as '90's sitcom dad', and said he picked it up because people told him he had 'dad energy'. And that's Dave. Someone who people love like family.
